The DTU team have been in Greenland again in summer and fall 2025 to study the linkages between permafrost thaw and drinking water quality.

Work packages 1, 2 and 3 joined efforts together with the project ThinIce (Thawing industrial legacies in the Arctic - a threat to permafrost ecosystems) also this year, in the western arctic tundra.

The Portuguese team set off on August 22nd to Sisimiut, Greenland, with the mission of collecting samples for contaminants in flora and fauna.

Summer means expeditions in Arctic research. A team, led by the ILLUQ coordinator Hugues Lantuit, is currently on the Hersechel Island / Qikiqtaruk on field work related to the WPs 1 and 6.

The ILLUQ 2024 summer field work kicked off with an expedition to the Herschel Island / Qikiqtaruk in the Yukon coast in Canada.

We continued our consultation meetings in Svalbard. This time in collaboration with our sister projects ICEBERG and ArcSolution.
