We are delighted to celebrate PhD student Ida Huusmann Knøfler, part of ILLUQ WP4 “Water and Sanitation, on receiving the UArctic Founder’s Scholar Award.
The award recognizes young researchers whose work reflects UArctic’s founding values. Ida’s research on permafrost thaw and its impact on drinking water quality in Greenland is part of ILLUQ’s mission to understand how thawing Arctic permafrost affects contaminants, water security, and human well-being.
Ida is based at DTU Sustain and supervised by Pernille Erland Jensen in collaboration with Lisbeth Truelstrup Hansen.
The award was presented at the recent UArctic Congress, where ILLUQ partners also contributed presentations on drinking water and wastewater in the Arctic.
