2nd ILLUQ General Assembly in Spetses Greece

2nd ILLUQ General Assembly in Spetses Greece

At the end of May, the ILLUQ consortium convened in the beatiful Spetses in Greece for its second General Assembly. This annual meeting was designed to review the progress of the project and prepare for the upcming deliverable submissions.

The agenda successfully combined plenary sessions, which provided an overview of the project's current status, with breakout groups and informal discussions that fostered cross-work package collaboration. These interactions enabled hands-on preparation, alignment, and in-depth discussions on the upcoming project deliverables, helping to ensure a shared understanding of priorities and next steps.

With approximately one and a half years remaining, the project is entering a crucial phase in which the emphasis shifts from field implementation to the generation of scientific outputs and project deliverables. While several major milestones have already been achieved, many of the project's key deliverables are still ahead and will require close collaboration across all work packages.

As field activities are progressively being completed, the focus is transitioning towards data processing, analysis, interpretation, and the preparation of publications, fact sheets, and finalizing the project documentary. This phase will demand coordinated efforts to integrate results across work packages, ensuring consistency, scientific quality, and the timely delivery of project objectives. The discussions during the meeting reflected this transition, with participants aligning on priorities, responsibilities, and the collaborative actions needed to successfully complete the remaining work within the project's timeline.
